Each year VCTA selects a
qualified “en plein air” judge for our art show. Previous judges have included professional artists in all mediums. The judged events produced during the 11-day occurrence are: |
- Peoples Choice Award — $100
|
- “en plein air” Professional — First, Second, Third Place and Honerable Mention; $500, 350, 200, 50
|
- “en plein air” Amateur — First, Second, Third Place and Honerable Mention; $250, 150, 100, 25
|
- Inside Victor — Artists may enter one painting of any interior within the town of Victor. $100
|
- The Brush Rush — In the spirit of the gold rush era, we will choose one historic site in town to paint with the location to be announced at the awards banquet. The event is open to all registered artists so have your brushes ready to fly on Sunday, August 31, 9:30 to 11:30 am. Paintings will be judged promptly at 11:30 am (maximum size 11 x 14). Bring your completed paintings to the Victor Elks Lodge for display and sale. No framing of this art is necessary.

- The Quick Draw — Open to all registered artists, this event begins on Monday, Labor Day, from 9:30 thru 11:30 am in Wallace Park in Victor. We have live models, props, and historic scenery to paint. During this event, artists may sell their Quick Draw paintings and bin work with no commission to VCTA.

- Kids Celebrate The Arts (KCTA) — VCTA sponsors a workshop for local children under 18. Participants have their own special show at The Elks Lodge during the regular VCTA Art Festival. First, Second, Third Place, $25, 15 and 5
