You are cordially invited to participate in the ninth annual Victor Celebrates the Arts
"en plein air" event August 22 through Labor Day, September 1, 2008.
The city of Victor Colorado and the surrounding area are rich in history and beauty.  Just bring your palate,  art supplies and expect a great week of working outdoors, meeting artists from many different states, and a few from overseas.  We are excited about the 2008 VCTA art week!
Please come and join us.  You may enter up to three paintings that are done on site during

• Sales commission is 25% to Victor Celebrates the Arts‚ and 75% to the artist for ALL SALES made at the Elks Lodge
• All proceeds from the 25% will be used for next year’s expenses
• The artist may paint any subject or location he or she chooses as long as it is outdoors
  and within a ten mile radius of the city of Victor City Hall‚ DURING THE EVENT DATES ONLY
• Check in is on Friday, Aug. 24 and Saturday‚ Aug. 25‚ 2008 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lowell Thomas Museum at the corner of Victor Avenue and 3rd Street in Victor.  After hours to register and stamp canvases‚ call Mary at 719-689-0799 or Jutta at 719-689-5836
• Each artist may enter up to three (3) pieces of work for the “en plein air” competition and one (1) piece of work for the Inside Victor catagory
• The artist understants the art work must be appropriately framed and ready to hang
• Artists will provide two copies per painting of their biography on a 4x6 card
• ALL paintings entered in the show/sale must be done “en plein air” or “on location” during the event dates only
• All art work will be at the display site (Victor Elks Building) on Friday, Aug. 29‚ 2008, between the hours of 9:00 am and 12:00 noon
• All artwork must be removed by Monday, Sept. 1 between 12-3 pm
• Victor Celebrates the Arts assumes no responsibility for theft, damage.  Please know that we will make our best effort to assure the security of the artwork once it is at the show site
• Must be 18 years or older to participate in Victor Celebrates The Arts
• Youths may participate in Kids Celebrate The Arts through the age of 17
